Better for your baby, better for the environment.
Kit & Kin is an award winning hypoallergenic eco friendly nappy made with sustainable materials that gives premium performance as well as very cute designs.
When your little one is starting to become more active, it’s time to switch to these hypoallergenic nappy pants with premium performance. With a soft stretchy waistband and tear away sides, these pants are perfect for quick and easy changing and help with transitioning to potty training.
Benefits for you, your baby and the planet:
Featuring a part natural high-tech absorbent core that uses significantly fewer chemicals than standard nappies and lasts up to 12 hours, Kit & Kin helps protect your baby’s soft delicate skin and safeguard it from sensitive skin problems like eczema and nappy rash.
Kit & Kin nappies protect the environment too - sustainable materials are used to help end our dependency on non-renewable resources. The super absorbent core contains chlorine-free fluff pulp harvested from sustainably managed forests, the soft internal and outer lining are made with naturally derived, plant-based sustainable materials, and the front panels, tapes, anti-leak barriers and packaging are all made from an oxo-biodegradable material that can biodegrade within 3 to 6 years.
Because Kit & Kin use fewer chemicals than standard nappies, your baby will only come into contact with the most gentle and natural materials. Soft waist and elastic stretch panels naturally adjust to your baby’s body shape for greater freedom of movement.
Made without chlorine processing, latex, lotions, fragrances, most common allergens, phthalates, optical brighteners, or organotins (MBT, DBT, TBT)
How many nappy pants/pull ups you get per pack:
Size 5 Nappy Pants - 20 nappy pants per pack - 39c per nappy pant
Size 6 Nappy Pants - 18 nappy pants per pack - 44c per nappy pant
What are Kit & Kin nappies made from:
Kit & Kin have replaced much of the plastic materials you find in standard nappies with sustainable materials that are not only kinder to your baby’s skin but also helps to protect the future resources of our world.
The nappy’s absorbent core is made from natural cellulose (wood pulp) that is sourced from an FSC certified forest. This ensures that the wood pulp we use is from an eco-responsible, sustainably managed forest. The fluff is bleached using oxygen, not chlorine.
The nappy’s backsheet (outer layer of our nappy) is 100% sustainable, derived from plant starch. The top sheet (between baby’s bum and the absorbent core) is made of a biodegradable PLA ( Polylactic acid). PLA might sound scary but is not and is ‘harmless’ bioplastic that has been derived from corn starch, a renewable resource.
The nappy’s elastic leg cuffs and stretchy side panels have been designed to ensure a snug fit and superior performance.
The outer packaging is also made from oxo biodegradable material and is GMO free.
Traditional nappies are primarily made from plastics, a non-renewable resource derived from oil. These plastic nappies will take anything up to 500 years to biodegrade. Furthermore, oil that makes plastic is a finite resource that will eventually run out.
Outer lining: Sustainable material and polyethylene waterproof film.
Internal lining: Polypropylene / PLA (natural polymer).
Internal: Totally chlorine free fluff pulp.
Barriers: Polypropylene.
Elastic ribbon: Polyurethane.
A little bit more about Kit & Kin:
Kit & Kin are proud to be a member of PETA. People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. By purchasing cruelty-free products you can help save a number of animals from excruciating tests and a lifetime of suffering.
For every pack sold, Kit & Kin help fund the purchase of rainforest through the World Land Trust, helping maintain a vital eco system that provides clean air and life-saving medicines. 25% of all medications used around the world originated from the rainforest, yet only 1% of the rainforest has been analysed for its medicinal benefits. At the current rate of deforestation, the rainforest will be gone in just 40 years. Together we can make a difference.
Kit & Kin has been created by co-founders Emma Bunton, Spice Girl, TV and radio presenter and UNICEF ambassador, and Christopher Money, Director of Product Development who brings over 15 years experience of developing mother and baby products for some of the world’s leading brands.
“My son has always suffered with eczema and for so many years we struggled to find products that weren’t full of chemicals that would further irritate his skin. As a mother, my children are my number one priority and I do everything I can to ensure they’re always safe, healthy and happy. At Kit & Kin, we want to take away the stress and worry parents often experience when trying to choose the best products for their family. That’s why we’ve developed an amazing range you can trust to care and protect for your family as they grow.”
