Doing the laundry and cleaning are essential to everyday life - but they do pollute water. There can be many harmful ingredients in mainstream cleaning products including synthetic fragrances which can cause allergies and damage to the environment. Sonett are an ecologically conscious range of cleaning products that help protect nature - especially water - and are skin-friendly and economical to use. They are passionate about protecting natural water resources by using completely biodegradable raw materials that increase the cleaning performance of the water, while focusing on its reintegration afterwards to biodegrade naturally in the environment. 

​Sonett Washing Up Liquid contains pure vegetable surfactants and with a naturally fresh scent of organic lemongrass oil, which is kind to the skin. 100% biodegradable so the dirty washing up water will biodegrade totally and naturally into the environment. This is a very economical concentrated liquid for manual dishwashing, unaffected by water hardness.

Sugar, starch, and coconut oil are the raw materials for the sugar surfactants used to create the cleaning ability. Combined with coconut oil, alcohol sulphate produced from coconut oil and sulphur oxides, they form a combination of substances which complement each other, increase their cleansing performance and possess excellent fat-dissolving properties as well as outstanding skin tolerance. Its active skin-care ingredients are extracted by macerating blossoms of the Calendula in organic alcohol.

The Unique Quality of Sonett Products :

When we wash clothes, rinse or wash our hair, we use surfactant-containing agents that neutralize the surface tension, ie the drop-forming force of the water. But we destroy water as a food in the process of this surfactant based cleaning. It is all the more important that the surface-relaxing effect of the surfactants is broken down as soon as possible after use and that the water can quickly reintegrate into the natural cycle.

The treatment of water plays an essential role at Sonett. All of the production water (currently approx. 10,000 l per day) is passed through a swirl system. The water flows without pressure through 12 egg-shaped glass vessels and accelerates to funnel vortices to give it back to same energy as pure spring water.

To support the renaturation of used water, rhythmic substances are added to Sonett detergents and cleaning agents in an oloid mixer. These balsamic additives of frankincense, gold, myrrh, laurel, olive oil, rose ash and mistletoe are moved rhythmically and added in the smallest quantities to finished detergents and cleaning agents.  The movement impressed on the balsamic additives in the mixer supports the waters renaturation once it goes down the drain.

Sonett are also social pioneers: the labelling of many of the Sonett products is carried out by special needs communities close by. Sonett is based on  partnership principles and has been transferred to a Non-Profit Foundation. Vegan Society certified.

We use the following providers to get your order to you as quickly and cheaply as possible:

DPD Couriers: €4.99 for next working day delivery up to 21kgs within Ireland.

Most orders will arrive with you the following day. Sometimes deliveries may take 2 days depending on what time you place your order. 2pm is our cut off for next day delivery but sometimes we can still add your order to the collection after this time. On rare occasions orders may take more than 2 days to deliver and we will let you know what the hold up is if this is the case.

Packaging:

We aim to use the least amount of packaging possible so we reuse the boxes and packaging we receive from suppliers so don't be alarmed if your new bubble bath arrives in a baby wipes box!

Click and Collect Orders:

Your click and collect orders are usually ready to collect within minutes of placing your order. We're open for click and collect from 10-5 Monday to Friday.  (If you need urgent breastfeeding items etc outside of these hours, please get in touch with siobhan@earthmother.ie and we'll try our best to get them to you).

If you've a little one in the car or want to maintain more social distance, give us a ring on 01-8397637 and we'll bring your order to your car. 

2. On foot, please stay left behind the yellow lines on the pedestrian walkway and don't cross the working forklift yard. 

Please do not drive or walk into the working yard/forklift area.

Northern Ireland
We do ship to Northern Ireland with DPD at a cost of €4.99. We do not offer free shipping to NI.

Europe Deliveries:

Shipping to Europe costs from €7.50 and takes 2+ days depending on your location - we ship through DPD Couriers & An Post. 

UK Deliveries:

Unfortunately since Brexit we cant ship to you in the UK without setting up a UK VAT number and as a small business its not an option for us, so we can’t ship anything unfortunately.

Worldwide deliveries:

We can use An Post Registered Post to ship around the world. Get in touch to discuss prices. 

Returns Policy:

You may return new, unopened items within 14 days of delivery for a full refund.

We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within one week of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (2 to 4 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (1 to 2 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

You may return unworn garments like Modi Bodi Period Underwear or Boba baby wraps only in original unopened packaging for a credit or refund within 30 days of your purchase.
